Description:
Applications are invited from candidates with a PhD in linguistics and with a
good track record of publications conducive to participation in the forthcoming
Research Assessment Exercise (RAE). We are looking for someone with a primary
specialism in phonology, preferably combined with expertise in one or more of
the following areas: instrumental phonetics, sociophonetics, speech perception,
historical linguistics, language acquisition, bilingualism, or disordered
speech. Preference may also be given to someone who works on one or more of the
modern foreign languages offered within the School of Modern Languages and
Cultures at Leeds.
Starting 1 September 2007, you will be expected to develop and sustain an active
programme of research in your specialist field and to teach both core and
optional modules on our undergraduate and MA programmes.
