Description:
The Department of Linguistics at Stanford University announces a full-time
position for a tenure-track assistant professor in phonetics with a
starting date of September 1, 2007. The department values research
programs that integrate cutting-edge theoretical work with rigorous
experimental investigation in the development of larger theories of
language and language use. Duties include teaching at both the graduate
and undergraduate levels, enhancing the Department's experimental
laboratory, and maintaining an active research program. Candidates should
hold the Ph.D. in linguistics or a related field by the starting date.
