Description:
The Department of Linguistics at the University of Toronto invites
applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level
in Phonetics, effective July 1 2007. Qualifications required are a PhD in
Linguistics with primary specialization in Phonetics, a record of
excellence in research, and evidence of effectiveness in teaching. In
addition, research interest in phonology and the phonology/phonetics
interface is required. Responsibilities include teaching and supervision at
the graduate and undergraduate levels. Salary will be commensurate with
qualifications and experience.
Please submit letter of application, curriculum vitae, sample of research,
and teaching evaluations (if available). Three letters of reference should
also be submitted, under separate cover.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and
permanent residents will be given priority.
