Description:
Concordia University's Department of Classics, Modern Languages and
Linguistics is seeking applications for two limited-term appointments in
Linguistics. Successful candidates will have a PhD, an active research
profile and broad teaching experience. One position will be for a
specialist in semantics or a related field (syntax or pragmatics); and the
other for a specialist in morphology or an experimental field such as
psycholinguistics or neurolinguistics.
Applications should consist of a cover letter, a current curriculum vitae,
a statement of teaching interests, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
Candidates should arrange for three letters of reference to be sent
directly to the address below.
The above position is subject to budgetary approval and need, and is a
full-time, limited term appointment, normally at the rank of Lecturer or
Assistant Professor, beginning August 15, 2007 and ending May 31, 2008.
Successful candidates will normally be expected to teach three courses per
semester. Under the provisions of the CUFA collective agreement, these
positions may be renewed twice subject to continued need.
