Meeting Description:
The Fifth Workshop on Altaic Formal Linguistics (WAFL 5) will be held at
SOAS, University of London. Dates: 23 - 25 May, 2008. 20-minute presentations
will address formal aspects of any area of theoretical Altaic linguistics,
including syntax, phonology, morphology, and semantics.
Invited speakers are Asli Göksel (Bogaziçi University), Nobuko Hasegawa
(Kanda University of International Studies), and Michael Kenstowicz (MIT).
The workshop will include a special session on Comparative Altaic Syntax.
The Fifth Workshop on Formal Altaic Linguistics (WAFL5) will take place May
23-25 2008 at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
