Description:
Applications are invited for the above post in the Division of English
Studies based at the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China. The newly
established Division was founded in 2007, developing a range of masters and
BA programmes in the areas of applied linguistics, stylistics, discourse
studies, modern literary studies, language policy for higher education,
EAP, and spoken English. The successful candidate will teach and research
in one or more of the following areas: Stylistics, Applied Linguistics
(psycholinguistics, spoken English, ELT) in the Division and the Centre for
Research in Applied Linguistics.
Candidates must have a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant
discipline, the ability to produce high quality research and experience of
teaching in relevant subjects at degree level in an international
English-speaking institution.
Salary will be within the range £30,912 - £41,545 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £48,161 per annum,
subject to performance). The post will be offered on a fixed-term contract
with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of three
years with effect from 1 September 2008, with the possibility of renewal.
