Spanish - Latino/a Studies
The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of
South Carolina is seeking an Assistant Professor in Latino/Latina Studies
to teach language, literature, and culture courses in its graduate and
undergraduate programs. The ideal candidate will have strong scholarly
interests in one or more of these areas: border studies, Latina feminist
studies, Latino literatures, Mexican-origin studies. He or she will be able
to develop courses for a new PhD in Spanish and Portuguese/Hispanic
Studies. The position also offers the possibility of interdisciplinary
teaching in the Women's and Gender Studies Program, Latin-American Studies
Program and a nationally-ranked Comparative Literature program.
