We are pleased to invite academics and FLT practitioners whose research
and professional interests include foreign language teaching and learning to
take part in the conference on:
New Challenges in Foreign Language Teaching and Learning
which will be held on:
22-24 October, 2010
The conference is expected to provide a forum for an exchange of
experience and ideas on topics related to challenges facing language
teachers and learners at the turn of the first decade of the 20th century. We
invite proposals for papers which fall within the following themes:
-Developing communicative and intercultural competence
-Testing and assessment of language competence
-Autonomy in foreign language learning
-Perceptions of success and failure in foreign language learning
-New technologies in foreign language learning and teaching
-Content and Language Integrated Learning
-Teaching young learners
-Teaching foreign languages for specific purposes
The conference programme includes plenary lectures to be delivered by
distinguished scholars representing such research areas as applied
linguistics, studies in second language acquisition and foreign language
teaching methodology. Our guest lecturers are:
Prof. Anna Michonska-Stadnik, University of Wroclaw
Prof. Jan Majer, University of Lodz
Prof. Zenon Weigt, University of Lodz
The conference fee is 100 Euro for full conference participation and 50
Euro for one-day participation. The fee does not include the cost of
accommodation, which is approximately 30 Euro per single room and 45
Euro per double room. Detailed information about accommodation and the
registration form will follow in the next circular.
The languages of the conference: English and Polish.
Call For Papers
