Linguistic Field(s): Cognitive Science; Discourse Analysis; General Linguistics;
Language Acquisition; Psycholinguistics
Call Deadline: 18-Apr-2010
Meeting Description:
The aim of the workshop is to provide a venue for researchers working on any
aspects of language processing to report on original research in this area and
develop new collaboration efforts between Italian and international
psycholinguists.
Call for Papers
The workshop is intended to be interdisciplinary, crossing the border between
psycholinguistics and other scientific approaches including linguistics, other
fields of cognitive sciences and neurobiology.
The workshop will host two invited lectures, a limited number of talks, and two
poster sessions. Speakers are invited to explore the implications of their
research within a broader domain than the specific field that originally
motivated the study.
Invited Speakers:
F.- Xavier Alario
Laboratoire de Psychologie Cognitive, CNRS & Aix-Marseille Université, Marseille
(France)
Manuel Carreiras
Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language, Donostia (Spain)
Abstracts (400 words) are solicited for papers and posters presenting
experimental research on any aspects of language processing, including language
comprehension, production, and acquisition, at the level of word, sentence, and
discourse. Talks and posters will be selected through a peer-review procedure.
Given the aim of the workshop, the organizers warmly invite contribution
submissions from young Italian researchers who work or worked outside Italy and
foreigner researchers who conduct or intend to conduct research in collaboration
with Italian research teams.
Abstracts for talk and/or poster have to be submitted electronically (see
http://events.unitn.it/en/psb2010) 400 words max, in English, including
references and examples. All abstracts will be Peer reviewed.

501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These
donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax return
(U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site, or contact
your financial advisor.
Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match
any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your
contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the
EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a simple
administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without
costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if your company
operates such a program.
Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
