Temporary (one year) Lectureship in Linguistics 
Up to £36,715 PA

The School of Languages, University of Salford is seeking a suitably
qualified individual for a temporary (one year) lectureship in linguistics
beginning on 7 Sept 2010. This post has arisen as a result of the award of
a British Academy/Leverhulme Senior Research Fellowship to Professor Janet
Watson, and will particularly suit candidates who have recently completed
their PhDs or whose PhDs are near to completion.

The successful candidate will have particular expertise in phonology and
morphology, and should also be able to contribute to the delivery of
introductory modules in syntax and phonetics. The person appointed will
teach modules in phonetics, phonology, and morphology at all levels from
first year UG to PGT level, and should be able to supervise MA
dissertations in these areas.

The post is available from 7 September 2010 to 6 September 2011
