focuses on the key issues in Law, Translation and Culture.
Call For Papers
The International Conference on Law, Translation and Culture (LTC) 2011
focuses on the key issues in Law, Translation and Culture. The LTC
conference welcomes papers on all aspects of Law, Translation and
Culture, including, but not limited to:
1. Legal translation
2. Court interpretation
3. Teaching and training in legal translation and court interpreting
4. Ethics for translators and interpreters in legal proceedings
5. Bilingual/multilingual drafting
6. Legal transplant and legal translation
7. Legal Culture
8. A cultural approach to legal language and legal translation
The LTC conference is associated with Multicultural Association of Law and
Language (MALL) and Research Center of Legal Translation, China
University of Political Science and Law. Multiculturalism is the theme for the
conference, which promotes the research and welcomes the participation
from different disciplines and across jurisdictions. This conference is to be
held just after the International Conference on Law, Language and
Discourse 2011 (20-21 August, Hong Kong) and the AILA conference 2011
(23-28 August, Beijing).
All accepted papers will be included in the Proceedings of LTC 2011
published by American Scholars Press, which are indexed by CPCI-
SSH/ISSHP. We are also considering an edited volume embracing the topics
of the conference. Extended versions of selected papers will be invited to
submit. Authors are invited to submit their papers electronically (as .doc
attachments) following the instructions on the conference web pages. For
