The Center for Language and Cognition Groningen (CLCG) is pleased to announce the 32nd TABU Dag, which will take place at the University of Groningen on the evening of 17 June and during 18 June, 2011. TABU Dag is an annual international general linguistics conference which offers excellent opportunities to meet other linguists and discuss current research in several areas of linguistics. Senior researchers, postdoctoral researchers, (post)graduate students, and others who are interested are warmly invited to participate.
In addition to the presentations, three plenary lectures will be held:
Friday evening 17 June 2011: Prof dr Peter Mariën, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium
Saturday 18 June 2011: Prof Barbara H. Partee, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA
Dr. Suzanne Beeke, University College London, UK
Call for Papers:
The abstract submission deadline has been extended to 18 March 2011 in order to allow more time to prepare submissions.
The expertise of the CLCG is in the fields of Computational linguistics, Discourse and communication, Language and literacy development across the life span, Language variation and language change, Neurolinguistics and Syntax and semantics, but submissions that deal with other branches of linguistic research are also very welcome. Senior researchers, postdoctoral researchers, (post)graduate students, and others who are interested are warmly invited to participate. (Post)graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in particular are encouraged to present their work.
We invite short abstracts for presentations and posters in English about any field of linguistics. Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words, excluding title, author names, keywords, data and references. Please indicate 3 keywords. Abstracts should be submitted in .pdf or .txt format via the submission system on the conference website. Please mind that no other formats are accepted.
Time allotted for presentations is 20 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of discussion. Depending on the number of submissions, some authors may be invited for a poster presentation. The official language of the conference is English.
