Professor / Associate Professor (Applied English Linguistics)

The Department invites applications for either at Professor or Associate 
Professor level. 

Applicants should have (i) a relevant PhD degree; (ii) excellent research 
record and very good teaching record at both undergraduate and 
postgraduate levels (including supervision of postgraduate students); and 
(iii) a willingness to contribute to the collective responsibilities of the highly 
collegial Department. A history of ongoing research and publication in 
psycholinguistics and/or second language acquisition will be a distinct 
advantage. Applicants with strong research specialisms in other areas may 
also be considered.  

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years 
initially commencing August 2012, which, subject to mutual agreement, 
may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:
Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and 
experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package 
including medical care, a contract-end gratuity for an appointment of two 
years or longer, and housing benefits for eligible appointee.
