Description:
The University of Luxembourg invites applications for its Faculty of Language
and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education.
Research Associate (Post-doc) in linguistics:
- 3 year fixed-term contract;
- F3R-IPS-PFN-12SDIV;
- Starting date: 1. September 2013;
- Employee status.
The researcher will be a member of the IPSE research unit within the Faculty
of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education at the University
of Luxembourg. He/she will work in the research project ‘SDiv: Standardization
in Diversity. The Case of German in Luxembourg (1795-1920)’ under the
supervision of Peter Gilles. The project is set up as an international
collaboration of the Universities of Luxembourg and Duisburg-Essen and is
funded jointly by the FNR and the DFG (see:
http://infolux.uni.lu/standardization/).
Mission:
- Variational analysis and contact analysis of linguistic data of
administrative language of the
century;
- Active participation in international conferences;
- Publication of project results in peer-reviewed journals and conference
proceedings;
- Project management.
Your profile:
PhD in German linguistics, preferably in historical linguistics and language
contact.
Required languages: German, French, English.
