Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for research and teaching in Linguistics / Syntax. Candidates should have an internationally renowned research record in generative syntax. In addition, candidates should have profound knowledge in at least one of the following areas: (a) morphology; (b) semantics-syntax interface; (c) phonology-syntax interface; (d) experimental methods; (e) formal theory of syntax. Participation in joint research activities is expected. The candidate will teach courses in general linguistics and in German linguistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Since the candidate will also be involved in teachers training, experience in transferring linguistic knowledge to the school domain is desirable.
The candidate must have completed his/her Ph.D. and habilitation or must be able to demonstrate an equivalent qualification.
The designated salary for the position is based on “W2” on the German university scale or equivalent.
