Description:

Assistant Professor of Spanish, background in theoretical linguistics and/or language acquisition (L1 Spanish, Spanish Heritage, L2 Spanish); experience with experimental design preferred.  Colleague will teach undergraduates at all levels, with possibilities for occasional general linguistics in the Interdisciplinary Linguistics Minor Program and both Spanish and general linguistics in the M. Ed. program.  3/3 course load. Ph.D., collegiate teaching experience, a coherent and cohesive research program with promise for future production.

Begin August 2014, full benefits and competitive salary.  Strong command of Spanish and English required; at least two years of full time teaching experience preferred.  Additional duties may include, but are not restricted to, participating in department and college functions; advising students and clubs; occasional directing of summer and semester study programs in Spain and Hispanic America.
We seek an enthusiastic teacher dedicated to teaching and working with undergraduate students in our large Spanish program.
