Meeting Description:

SALT is an international conference on work combining theoretical and
empirical natural language semantics, consisting of invited talks, contributed
talks, and contributed posters. This year’s invited speakers are Emmanuel
Chemla (ENS), Valentine Hacquard (Maryland), Lauri Karttunen (Stanford), and
Sarah Moss (Michigan).


Call for Papers:

We invite submission of abstracts for 30 minute oral presentations (with 10 minute discussion periods) or posters on any topic in natural language semantics. 

The abstract submission deadline is Monday, December 2, 2013, 11:59pm EST. We expect to make notifications of acceptance in late February. 

Abstracts must not exceed two pages in letter-size or A4 paper, including examples and references, with 1 inch margins on all sides and 12 point font size. Linguistic examples should be included where they are discussed, not grouped together on the second page. The abstract should have a clear title but should not identify the author(s). The abstract must be submitted electronically in PDF format. Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author, or 2 joint abstracts per author.

When you submit your abstract, you will be asked to indicate whether you would like it to be considered (i) for a talk only, or (ii) for a talk or poster. You will also be asked for up to 3 key-words, to aid us in assigning referees. If your work specifically pertains to a language or languages other than English, you may add up to 2 key-words specifying the language(s) or the famili(es).
