Meeting Description:
The 2014 SAANZ (Sociological Association of AoteroaNew Zealand) conference in Christchurch, December 3-5. We hope to offer a conference that will give you an opportunity to share your work with others yet also enable you to engage with the social consequences of our city’s quake experiences. The usual range of sociological themes will be incorporated into the conference programme.
Registration is open from the 1 May 2014. Given the particular context for the conference – taking place in a rebuilding city where accommodation and transport are heavily utilised by rebuild workers, may we encourage you to register and book travel and accommodation early.
Call for Papers:
You are invited to submit abstracts for paper presentations at the 2014 SAANZ (Sociological Association of AoteroaNew Zealand) conference in Christchurch, December 3-5.
While the conference theme for keynote and panel speakers is “the Social Impact of the Canterbury Earthquakes” the call for papers is a general one. We hope to offer a conference that will give you an opportunity to share your work with others yet also enable you to engage with the social consequences of our city’s quake experiences. The usual range of sociological themes will be incorporated into the conference programme.

Abstracts should be submitted according to the following guidelines:
- Papers: 200 word abstract
- Presentations will be allotted 20 minutes in the conference session, plus 10 minutes for questions.
- Abstract submissions close on 30 September 2014
