Meeting Description:
DiGS (Diachronic Generative Syntax) is an established international conference dedicated to the historical and comparative investigations of syntactic phenomena and language change from a generative perspective.
DiGS16 will be held at the Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest, Hungary, from 3 to 5 July 2014.
The conference will also host a workshop entitled 'Converging Corpora: How to standardize historical corpora of typologically and genetically different languages' on 2 July 2014, aiming to present and discuss historical corpora and methodological issues related to corpus-building.

2nd Call for Papers:
We are pleased to announce that the 16th Diachronic Generative Syntax conference (DiGS16) will be held in Budapest, Hungary on 3-5 July, 2014. The conference is organized and hosted by the Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
We invite abstract submissions for 30-minute oral presentations, to be followed by 10-minute discussions. Abstracts should be anonymous and no longer than two pages, including references and examples, in 12-point Times New Roman, with margins of at least 2,5 cm / 1 inch. Submissions for the conference are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint abstract per author, independently from submissions for the workshop.
The conference will also host a special workshop on 'Converging Corpora: How to standardize historical corpora of typologically and genetically different languages' on 2 July, 2014.
