Description:

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) was founded in 1896 and is one of the
China's world-renowned universities.

The School of International Education (SIE) at SJTU was founded in May 2000,
and has specialized in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and some
interdisciplinary research profiles involving linguistics. The school has an
undergraduate program in ‘Chinese Language’, and masters programs in
‘linguistics and applied linguistics’ and ‘teaching Chinese as a second
language’.

General requirements

The School of International Education seeks applications for three full-time
academic positions at the ranks of Lecturer, Special Research Fellow or
Professor. Responsibilities of the appointees will include teaching, research,
thesis supervision, and student advising.

Applicants applying for the special research fellow position should:
1. Have a doctorial degree in Linguistics and other related studies from a
well known, top university;
2. Have at least 3 years of overseas working experience;
3. Be capable of teaching core courses;
4. Be younger than 40 years old.

publications, and contact information for two references as a single PDF file
