The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Sheffield is inviting applications for PhD studentships in arts and humanities subjects through the White Rose College of Arts and Humanities (WRoCAH) Doctoral Training Partnership. For UK residents they cover tuition and a stipend; for EU residents they cover tuition fees only.
The School of Languages and Cultures welcomes applications from potential students in the areas of Linguistics that we currently supervise. A list can be found here along with contact information for potential supervisors:

How to Apply:
- PhD Scholarships
Applicants for an AHRC PhD studentship must have applied for a place and may only apply for funding at one of Leeds, Sheffield, or York. Applicants are advised to apply for a PhD place at their chosen institution well in advance of the WRoCAH funding deadline. Details of how to apply for a University of Sheffield PhD place are available from website:

AHRC Scholarships:
The White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (WRoCAH) is a Doctoral Training Partnership of the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. It is responsible for the distribution of AHRC-funded studentships for these universities and for the coordination of a doctoral training programme. From 2015 WRoCAH is able to offer over 50 AHRC-studentships per year to candidates with a place for doctoral study at the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield or York.
