Meeting Description:
Telugu Linguists Forum (TeLF) formed to promote research and function of Telugu language and to enlarge the functioning of Telugu in different domains. It also encourages research on Comparative Study of Telugu with other Indian languages. TeLF propagates the significance of implementation of information technology with reference to Telugu language and actively participates in Telugu language research. Hence, all scholars who are analyzing Telugu language from linguistic point of view are from TeLF. Against this background, Linguistics Department, Andhra University proposes to organize the 7th National Conference of Telugu Linguists’ Forum on 11-12 March, 2016 and invites papers on the following areas.
Call for Papers:
7th National Conference of Telugu Linguists Forum, 11-12 March, 2015 (Tentative dates)

Andhra University, Visakhapatnam,
And
Telugu Linguists Form (TeLF), Hyderabad
The research in Linguistics is focused on Applied and Theoretical aspects of language analysis and evaluation of translations. The main focus of the conference remains to be Classical language, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Translation (MT) and the preparation of Electronic Dictionaries, Teaching Telugu as a First and Second language and Education Policy.
Against this background, Linguistics Department, Andhra University proposes to organize the 7th National Conference of Telugu Linguists Forum on 11-12 March 2016 and invites papers on the following areas.
- Translation activities in Telugu
- Modernization of Telugu
- Telugu Language planning
- Preparation of Dictionaries
- Development of Telugu Dialects and its functions
- Telugu language and computers
- Telugu orthography
- Comparative study of Telugu and other languages
The above topics are indicative. However, scholars are free to select any topic of their choice that is related to Telugu language.
Important Deadlines:
- Last Date for submission of abstract: 31 December 2015
- Acceptance of the paper: 20 January 2016
- Last Date for submission of full paper: 20 February 2016
