Description:

This is a short-term position (4-6 months) for a grammar developer who will contribute to the implementation of an interactive natural language processing system. The main task of the grammar developer is to write an LFG-style grammar to encode the syntactic aspects of French and/or Italian in a given domain. 

Minimum level of education

- BA in Linguistics or related field

Knowledge requirements:

- Strong background in Syntax & Semantics 
- Knowledge of Lexical Functional Grammar
- Native or near native fluency in French or Italian
- Good command of English for communication with colleagues

Skill requirements:

- Excellent Analytic skills 
- Attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills 
- Basic familiarity with Mac OS X, Windows & Linux environments 

Experience in the following will be an asset:

- Version control, preferably in Git 
- Agile development practices 
- Python or other scripting/programming languages.
