Child Phonology Analyzer (CPA) analyzes transcribed speech corpora stored in Microsoft Excel files, and provides detailed phonological, morphological and lexical information. It is especially designed to analyze child speech vs. adult target utterances.

Website: http://chengafni.wordpress.com/cpa

The main functions performed by the software:

- Automatic syllabification that can be adjusted according to language-specific parameters.
- Full account of corpora in terms of different types of phonological entities, including: specific segments and natural classes, morphological affixes and non-linear templates, syllabic structures, etc.
- Automatic identification of phonological processes
- Lexical development

All functions are performed using button clicks, and adjusted through user-friendly forms.

The user interface of the software features a phonological knowledge base in the form of editable tables, which provide users with great flexibility, and allows them to tailor the software to their working conventions (e.g., changing phonetic symbols, adding phonological features and diacritical marks, defining new phonological processes).
