Meeting Description:
The Department of Latvian and General Linguistics and the Department of Baltic Linguistics at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Latvia invite submissions of abstracts for the 52nd International Prof. Arturs Ozols Conference „Grammatical and lexical variance in language system” to be held in Riga on March 17–18, 2016.
This year the conference is organised in honour of the 115th anniversary of the distinguished linguist Edīte Hauzenberga-Šturma (1901–1983). The thematic scope of the conference is therefore related to the scientific interests of Edīte Hauzenberga-Šturma, which include:
- Grammar
- Dialectology
- Lexicography
Call for Papers:
We welcome presentations which explore different aspects of stylistic, social, dialectal, historical etc. variance in the grammatical and lexical system of language.
Conference languages: Latvian, Lithuanian and English.
Presentations: 20 minutes.
Participation fee: 20 EUR (to cover coffee breaks).
Please send registration forms and abstracts (250–500 words) to kalnaca at latnet.lv by January 15, 2016. Notification of acceptance will be given by January 31, 2016. Further information will be published at http://www.hzf.lu.lv/ starting October 2015.
