Abstract:

Dieser Band widmet sich der Erforschung der bisher wenig beachteten und
äußerst komplexen (Teil-)Fertigkeit des Sehverstehens im
Fremdsprachenunterricht, insbesondere im Hinblick auf ihr inter- und
transkulturelles Potenzial.

Es wird u.a. folgenden Fragestellungen nachgegangen: Welche Sehstrategien
können gezielt geschult werden, um das Hörverstehen in Alltagssituationen und
in Aufgaben zum Hör-Sehverstehen zu stützen? Welche Situationen gibt es, in
denen Sehverstehen interkulturelle und kommunikative Bedeutung hat und die
kann Sehverstehen in/für solche/n Situationen systematisch geschult werden?
Wie können Testkonstrukte zum Sehverstehen empirisch validiert werden? Die
Reflexion dieser und weiterer Fragen erlaubt es, "blinde Flecken" im
Gemeinsamen Europäischen Referenzrahmen für Sprachen und in den
Bildungsstandards zu schließen und bietet somit ein großes Potenzial für die
fremdsprachendidaktische Forschung. Die gezielte Schulung des Sehverstehens im
Fremdsprachenunterricht selbst wiederum eröffnet zahlreiche Chancen für die
inhaltliche und qualitative Weiterentwicklung des Unterrichts in den
romanischen (Schul-)Sprachen.
