Description:

We are offering a position for a PhD student, starting November or December
2016, for three years, in a new project on “Namdeutsch” where we will
investigate German in the multilingual context of Namibia from grammatical and
sociolinguistic perspectives. The project involves researchers from Germany
(University of Potsdam and Free University of Berlin) and Namibia (UNAM
Windhoek). The PhD student will contribute to sociolinguistic aspects and will
be working at Potsdam under the supervision of Heike Wiese, Department of
German & Centre “Language, Variation, and Migration”.
