Meeting Description:

We are delighted to invite you to our second international conference From
Theory to Practice in LSP scheduled for 17-18 February 2017. The conference
will be held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture,
University of Zagreb, Ivana Lučića 5, Zagreb, Croatia.

We welcome presentations and papers addressing topics from all fields of
interest within the domain of language for specific purposes and await the
following types of contributions: 
- research studies, reviews, professional papers, case reports, theoretical
papers, methodological papers, reflection papers, discussion papers, opinion
papers, projects, commentaries, etc. 

We hope to feature contributions on the following topics:

- Terminological theories and their application 
- Psycholinguistics and LSP
- Cognitive aspects of LSP
- Sociological and cultural aspects of LSP
- Communication aspects in LSP
- Classification, development methodology and evaluation of language
instruction materials
- Methodology of designing LSP syllabi
- Expert- and language-related subject didactics at tertiary education level
- Testing in LSP
- Modern technology-assisted teaching/learning in LSP
- Interdisciplinary aspects – synergy of a subject field and language
- Other areas connected with language for specific purposes as well as with
language for academic purposes

Call for Papers:

2nd International Conference 
>From Theory to Practice in Language for Specific Purposes
17 – 18 February 2017, Zagreb, Croatia

Organiser: Association of LSP Teachers at Higher Education Institutions
(ALSPTHEI)

Plenary lectures will be in English. 

Languages (abstracts, podium presentations and papers): English, German or
Croatian. 

Talks will be allocated 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions and
discussion.

Abstracts should not exceed a maximum of 300 words (without bibliography).

The book of abstracts will be available at the conference. 

The proceedings book will be published after the conference. All full-text
manuscripts submitted for publication in the proceedings book will undergo an
international double-blind peer review.

Registration, confirmation of conference fee payment as well as abstract and

Final abstract submission deadline: 31 December 2016
Notification of abstract acceptance:  7 January 2017
