Undergrad and Grad students in good academic standing are welcome to apply.

Description:
Our Summer 2016 field course offers graduate and undergraduate students from
UMD and elsewhere the opportunity to spend four weeks in the central highlands
of Guatemala, learning an indigenous Mayan language and getting involved in
language research.

Students will stay with local families to experience daily life, while working
with experienced language teachers and expert language consultants for 6-8
hours each day, immersing themselves in the language and culture.

Subject Languages: Kaqchikel

Tuition: 2700 USD
