Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Yale University is seeking to make a tenured
appointment in semantics, to begin in Fall 2017. The appointed scholar will be
a leader in the discipline, and will have established a highly successful
program of research. Applicants should have demonstrated excellence in
teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and in the training of
graduate students. Particular attention will be paid to candidates whose work
complements and connects with that of the current department faculty and other
departments and research units at Yale.

Applications for this position should be submitted electronically at the

a statement outlining the candidate's research program and how the candidate
sees his or her work connecting with on-going research at Yale, two or three
representative pieces of research, and the names of three potential referees
(letters do not need to be solicited immediately). Applications will be
considered on a rolling basis, but the position will remain open until it is
filled.
