The Department of Modern Languages (http://modernlanguages.olemiss.edu/) and
the Croft Institute for International Studies
(http://www.croft.olemiss.edu/home/) at the University of Mississippi invite
applications for a tenure-track Croft Assistant Professor of Spanish with
specialization in Second Language Acquisition or related field. 

Ph.D. required at time of appointment. Required qualifications include a
strong research profile, native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English,
and demonstrated excellence in teaching, specifically helping students of
Spanish achieve advanced or superior levels on the ACTFL oral proficiency
interview. 

Duties include teaching upper level classes in the Spanish language, Spanish
linguistics, and foreign language pedagogy; advising and mentoring Croft
students studying Spanish; maintaining successful research; and performing
service to the Department of Modern Languages and the Croft Institute.
