Abstract:

Durch die Bildungsstandards wurde mit der so genannten Sprachmittlung eine
neue, fünfte Fertigkeit neben den „four skills“ Lesen, Hören, Schreiben und
Sprechen verbindlich in den Fremdsprachenunterricht eingeführt. Unter
Sprachmittlung wird dabei vor allem die alltägliche, sinngemäße, an Situation
und Adressat angepasste Übertragung eines Textes von einer Sprache in eine
andere Sprache verstanden. Der Band stellt wissenschaftliche Grundlagen und
Beispiele für die Praxis des Fremdsprachenunterrichts vor.
