Meeting Description:

The PWoLL is a student friendly conference (undergrads included!) geared
toward any relevant topic on language and linguistics. This is its fourth year
running and will be hosted at the University of Saskatchewan.


Call for Papers:

The Linguistics Department at the University of Saskatchewan (UoS) is pleased
to announce a call for papers for The Fourth Annual Prairie Workshop on
Languages and Linguistics (PWoLL). The workshop will take place on Saturday,
March 18, 2017. We are also happy to announce that the Canadian Language
Museum will be present throughout the conference (March 13-19) and this year
Dr. Nicole Rosen from the University of Manitoba will be our keynote speaker.

Abstracts are invited on any topic relevant to language and linguistics. These
include, but are not limited to: general linguistics (e.g., experimental,
theoretical, applied), oral discourse (e.g., indigenous storytelling), etc.
Topics on indigenous languages are especially encouraged. Please submit
anonymous abstracts in PDF format with the words ''PWoLL 2017'' in the subject
line to stewart.jesse at usask.ca. Abstracts are not to exceed 1 page, including
data and references, with 1-inch margins and 12 point font. Please submit
abstracts by Monday, January 30th, 2017. Abstracts will be reviewed internally
at UoS, with results expected within two weeks of submission.
