Abstract:

Trendsportmagazine gehören zu den wenigen Presseprodukten, die von der
weltweiten Pressekrise nahezu ausgenommen sind. Diese Sonderstellung erklärt
sich aus ihrer herausragenden Bedeutung als Werbeträger für die Sport- und
Tourismus-Industrie. Am Beispiel von Windsurf- und Snowboardmagazinen in
Deutschland und Frankreich zwischen 1981 und 2016 wird gezeigt, wie sich der
aufkommende und wieder abflauende Boom der beiden Sportarten sowie die
allgemeine mediale Entwicklung auf Form und Inhalt der Magazine und
insbesondere der darin auftretenden Textsorten ausgewirkt haben.
