Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
(New Brunswick) invites applicants for a tenure‐track position in linguistics
with a specialization in Semantics, at the level of Assistant Professor or
beginning Associate Professor. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
The position will begin on September 1, 2018. 

We seek applicants with a strong grounding in theoretical semantics and
research interests in areas that will both enhance and contribute to the
research coverage of the current faculty (with desirable areas including, but
not limited to, fieldwork, prosody, discourse, and computational, game
theoretic, or Bayesian approaches), and who can contribute breadth and depth
to the department with respect to research, teaching, and advising at the
graduate and undergraduate levels. Applicants must have completed all degree
requirements for a Ph.D. in linguistics or a related field such as Philosophy,
Computer Science, or Psychology by August 31, 2018.

statement, sample publications, a teaching portfolio, teaching evaluations (as
available), and three letters of reference. The cover letter should include
