Technical University and the “Groupe de recherche sur le handicap,
l’accessibilité et les pratiques éducatives et scolaires” (Grhapes EA 7287),
“Institut National Supérieur de Formation et de Recherche pour l'Éducation des
Jeunes Handicapés et les Enseignements Adaptés” (INS HEA - France) have the
pleasure to invite you to take part in the II International Scientific and
Practical Conference “Semiotic Space of Language. Signs and Narratives”, which
will take place on February 14-15, 2018 - Novosibirsk Russia.
Guidelines of the Conference:

- Semiotic space of text
- Interdisciplinary semiotic studies
- Pragmatic, semantical and syntax language studies
- Non-verbal means of communication
- Diachronic studies of the semiotic systems
- Novelties in linguistic semiotics
- Interlinguistic language studies
- Semiotic studies of non-linguistic means of communication
- Sign languages and semiotic
Plenary and panel sessions will be organized on February 14-15.
Working languages of the Conference are Russian, English, German and French.

Forms of Participation:
- Keynote speech at the plenary session (20 minutes)
- Presentation at a panel (10-12 minutes) (materials to be published in the
proceedings)
- Holding a workshop
- Presentation without a publication
- Participation in the Conference as a listener.
To participate in the Conference, please fill in the registration form on the
website of the Department of Foreign Languages (Technical Programs), NSTU
(http://iytf.nstu.ru) before December 20, 2017 and provide:
1) Your article (kindly refer to Guide for authors, Appendix 1);
2) Expert report on the possibility of open publication.
Files containing the application form and article should be named as follows:
Ivanov I.I._Application, Ivanov I.I._Article, Ivanov I.I._Expertise on the
possibility of open-access publication of the material.
Organizing Committee of the Conference reserves the right to refuse
publication of the articles which are not relevant to the perspective of the
Conference or formatted with the violation of the respective rules.
Text of the article should not exceed 40,000 characters (spaces included).
Publication of the Articles is Free. Soft copy of the proceedings will be
available.
Undergraduate and graduate students must provide a referee report signed by
their scientific advisor.
The proceedings are included in Russian Science Citation Index.

Appendix 1
Guide for authors
The articles will be accepted in .doc and .docx formats, processed in MS Word,
line spacing — 1, printing type — Times New Roman, type size — 14, all fields
— 2 cm, indentation — 1 cm, full justification, no automatic hyphenation.
Drawings, tables, graphs and diagrams will be published in black-and-white and
should be provided as an image in the text of the article.
The article should be formatted as follows:
- First line (aligned left) – UDC
- Second line is empty
- Third line (full justification, bold type, capital letters, no full stop at
the end — title of the article
- Fourth line is empty
- Fifth line (centered horizontally, bold type) — author’s/authors’ initials
and last name, no more than three authors per one article
- Sixth line (centered horizontally, italics) – full name of the organization,
city and country
- Seventh line (centered horizontally, italics) – author’s/authors’ e-mail(s)
- Eighth line is empty
- Ninth line (full justification) – abstract of the article (maximum 500
characters, spaces included, entitled “Abstract”)
- Tenth line (full justification) – keywords (maximum 5 words, entitled
“Keywords”)
Source references are provided after the quotations in square brackets as in
the example: [Searle 2010: 49]. Reference list is provided after the text of
the article in alphabetical order, preceded by the word “LITERATURE” (centered
horizontally, capital letters, no quotation marks, bold type). Reference list
is formatted in accordance with the national standard ГОСТ Р 7.0.5–2008
«Библиографическая ссылка».
Examples in the article should be in italics.
Concept names should be in capital letters: concept FREEDOM.
Tables should have numbers and titles. E.g. “Table 1. — title” (aligned left
before the table). Title and number of an image are indicated after the image
(“Fig. 1. Title”, full justification). The only table or image should not be
numbered. Tables, schemes and images should be grouped.
