Meeting Description:

Aimed at scholars, PhD students and practitioners involved in research,
Multilingual Childhoods 2019 welcomes those who are investigating childhood
multilingualism in educational contexts from around the world. Multilingual
Childhoods 2019 will focus on issues related to the learning and teaching of
two or more languages in the home, school or community by children from birth
to the age of 6 years old. The focus may include language development and use
in contexts of awareness of languages, additional languages, foreign
languages, second languages, bilingual education, and immersion. Additional
topics may relate to the role of parents, teacher education and training and
policy in early multilingualism.

Multilingual Childhoods: Education, Policy and Practice

Call for Papers:

Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (HINN) and Oslo Metropolitan
University (OsloMet) are pleased to announce the call for papers for
Multilingual Childhoods 2019, the third EECERA Multilingual Childhoods SIG and
REYLL network international research conference. 

Abstract submissions for papers and posters should be no more than 300 words,
be written in English and include name and affiliation of presenter(s), title
of presentation, aims of study, theoretical underpinning, methodology, main
findings and discussion, implications for practice/policy and references.

Papers will be allocated 20 minutes with 10 minutes for discussion. 
Posters (max. size A0, portrait format) will be on display throughout the
conference.
