Tenure Track Professorship (W1) in Psycholinguistics and Cognitive Modeling
Institute of Linguistics -- At the earliest opportunity
We are seeking candidates who combine a formal linguistic background, e.g.
syntax, semantics and/or discourse, with experimental psycholinguistic
research and modeling techniques. A connection to multimodality research would
be welcome. Candidates should have excellent internationally recognized
research, teaching experience, a PhD and experience with third-party
fundraising. Willingness to participate in collaborative research initiatives,
also in cooperation with the University of Tübingen, is a prerequisite.
Open-mindedness towards research in digital humanities would be appreciated.
The Linguistics Institute seeks to complement its theoretical emphasis with
psycholinguistics and cognitive modeling through this professorship, thereby
strengthening and broadening its successful cooperation with the Institute of
Natural Language Processing in Faculty 5. The successful candidate will teach
in the Institute’s B.A., M.A. and M.Ed. degree programs.
The professorship is funded in the context of the joint programme for the
promotion of early career researchers by the German federal and
state-governments. The position is a tenure track position leading to an
appointment as a W3 professor in case of a positive evaluation. The
requirements for employment listed in § 51 Baden-Württemberg university law
apply.
