Your Responsibilities:
- Acquisition and conceptualization of innovative digital products in close
coordination with our Editorial Director for Linguistics
- Strategic development of our Communication Studies portfolio (books,
journals, major reference works, digital products) in close coordination with
our Editorial Director for Linguistics
- Expansion and fostering of academic networks with authors, editors,
societies, and research institutes
- Budget responsibility for project signings and output toward achieving
economic objectives
- Representation of the department at international academic conferences
- Close collaboration with our editorial office, production, marketing, and
sales teams
Your Profile:
- A Master’s degree or PhD in Linguistics or a related subfield of the Social
Sciences
- Experience in the international academic publishing industry including a
well-established and lively academic network
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a sound understanding of bug tracking
software, programming languages and data interchange formats
- Intellectual curiosity with a passion for finding creative solutions towards
developing innovative publishing products
- Native/business fluent English language skills, German skills will be
considered a plus
