The institute for Romance Studies is looking for a University Assistant with
doctorate (40 hours a week; fixed-term employment for the period of 6 years;
position to be filled as of May 2nd 2019)
Your Duties:
- Independent research in the main domain of Italian and French or Spanish
- Independent conducting of lectures
- Participation in the examinations of the Institute and providing assistance
to students
- Collaboration on research projects
- Developing of own research projects
Your Profile:
- Dr.phil. or PhD in Romance Linguistics
- Excellent language skills in Italian and French or Spanish
- Relevant international experience
- A number of relevant publications in the field, adequate to one's age and
academic career
- Concept for a research project in Romance Linguistics in the domain of
Italian/French (to be submitted with the application, 5 pages)
- Teaching skills in Romance Linguistics (Italian preferred)
- Very good IT skills
- Good language skills in German (GERS B2 desirable)
- Initiative and dedication
- Communication, organizational and collaborative skills

Classification
Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1
Minimum salary
The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the
classification scheme is EUR 3803.90 gross/month. This minimum salary may be
higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other
earnings and remunerations.
