Description:
The Summer Institute intern will work closely with Language Conservancy staff,
instructors, and local partners to plan and implement several Summer
Institutes. Program Assistants will work with Language Conservancy and local
staff to coordinate one or more Summer Language Institutes taking place
between May and August 2019.
Applicants should be excellent communicators by phone and email as well as
face to face. They should have a good grasp of Outlook and Microsoft Office
Suite, and be willing to master Mailchimp, RegOnline, and additional
computer-based programs as needed. Attention to detail and team or project
management experience are required; Additional experience in media
documentation (photo, audio, video), applied linguistics (recordings),
teaching methodology, and program evaluation are a plus.
Each project requires pre- and post-Institute support from our Bloomington,
Indiana offices or remotely. Those with immediate availability will be given
special consideration. Work offered will vary according to organizational
needs, applicant availability and skill sets.
