Assistant Professor of Spanish Linguistics

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Villanova University
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Linguistics at the
rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August of 2019. Subfield of
specialization is open. Responsibilities include teaching courses in
linguistics, Spanish sociolinguistics, history of language, lexicology,
semantics and phonetics, as well as advising students and participating fully
in the collegial environment of a vibrant program. 

Candidates should have a PhD in hand, or defended dissertation by August 1st,
2019, demonstrated scholarly achievement with proven excellence in teaching,
near/native Spanish/English, and willingness to participate fully in a vibrant
program. 

Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian order. An
