Description:

Université de Paris will open an assistant professor position in acquisition
and psycholinguistics for September 2020, pending budgetary approval.

Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in English Linguistics with a
specialization in acquisition or psycholinguistics. Candidates should either
already hold a tenured assistant professor position or apply for accreditation
by the French Conseil National des Universités. Note that the deadline for the
first step of application for CNU accreditation is October 24th, 2019.

Candidates should have expertise in the areas of acquisition of English as a
second language and psycholinguistics, with research interests in syntax,
semantics, pragmatics or in conversational analysis. Those whose research
records relate to one or more of the following areas are particularly
encouraged to apply: second language acquisition, quantitative, statistical or
computational methods in linguistic research, psycholinguistic
experimentation. A working knowledge of French is expected.

The successful candidate is expected to join the Centre de Linguistique
Interlangue, de Lexicologie, de Linguistique Anglaise et de Corpus - Atelier
de recherche sur la parole (CLILLAC-ARP) and the department of English:

Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses in
linguistics, psycholinguistics and didactics, as well as preparatory courses
for competitive exams (CAPES, Agrégation). Other duties include supervision of
graduate students (both research in acquisition and psycholinguistics, and
MEEF essays on didactics), involvement in curricular development and in the
administration of the department. 

This position is a permanent one with a civil servant status. Salary will be
in accordance with the French state regulated public service salary scale.
