Description:

The Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Arts of the University of
Ottawa invites applications for a tenure track position in phonetics at the
Assistant Professor level, commencing July 1 2020. The ideal candidate will
have expertise in French linguistics and/or articulatory imaging, as well as a
strong computational background.  At the time of appointment, applicants
should have a Ph.D. in linguistics or a related field, with evidence of strong
research potential. The ability to teach in French at the time of appointment
would be an important asset but is not required. However, active competence in
French will be a condition of tenure. For more details on our programs, please

The salary is determined in accordance with the Collective Agreement. 

Applicants should submit a CV, representative samples of their research, and
arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be sent directly to Dr. Éric

Le Département de linguistique de la Faculté des arts de l'Université d’Ottawa
sollicite des candidatures pour un poste de professeur(e) régulier en
phonétique menant à la permanence au rang de professeur(e) adjoint(e),
débutant le 1er juillet 2020. Les candidat(e)s devraient idéalement avoir une
expertise en linguistique française ou en imagerie articulatoire, et de
solides compétences en informatique.  Au moment de l’embauche, les
candidat(e)s doivent détenir un doctorat en linguistique ou dans une
discipline connexe et avoir démontré un fort potentiel de recherche. La
capacité d’enseigner en français au moment de l’embauche est un atout, mais
pas obligatoire. Cependant, une compétence active en français sera nécessaire
