Subject: April Fools Day Postponed
As with many linguistics events this year, Linguist List has decided to
postpone the April Fools Day optimistically till September. At that time, the
following entirely factual and peer-reviewed articles will be posted on our
page:
* The spread of the [+coronal] feature between vowels and speakers
* A case for retiring the term 'coronal' in favor of 'alveolar' once and for
all
* Sociolinguistic Distancing
* Evidence for a Nostratic interpretation of the Coronavirus genome
* Negative sentiment analysis in viral marketing
* Substrate-superstrate interactions and invasive reduplicants
* An acoustic correlation of cough formant frequencies and infection rate
* How consumers avoiding Corona beer products proves the Sapir-Whorf
hypothesis
We apologize to any readers who may have been looking forward to less serious
contents. While waiting for September Fools Day, you might want to consult the
linguistic first response guidelines put together by our friends at
Speculative Grammarian:

Stay safe!
