Meeting Description:
The Forum was created to bring people together to engage with the topic of
Englishes in Australia (including contact varieties). Its aim is to be an
inclusive space to share ideas and ongoing research for researchers of
different disciplines, sub-disciplines and theoretical perspectives, to
support early-stage research students, and to create a space for interactions
and larger conversations around the object of study. It is intended to be a
regular, free or low cost event with an outreach element to engage teachers,
particularly those that teach the senior secondary subject VCE English
Language.
Call for Papers:
Abstracts are invited for the Third Forum on Englishes in Australia
(AusEng2020), which due to COVID-19 will now be held entirely online. Research
on any aspect of English as used in Australia from any methodological or
theoretical perspective is welcome.
Papers can be submitted as a 20-minute talk or a 5-minute speed-paper.
Submit abstracts of 300 words or less (excluding references) to
