Description:
The Dept. of Modern Languages at Florida International University is hiring a
Visiting Assistant Professor in Spanish Linguistics to begin in August of
2022. A Ph.D. in Spanish or related is required, and must be in hand by August
12, 2022. Specializations of interest are language teaching methodology,
language teacher education, Spanish heritage language learning, and/or
sociolinguistics. Other areas of specialization will be considered. The
selected candidate will teach five courses per academic year (teaching load
2/3), teaching language and linguistics courses in the Spanish language for
our undergraduate and graduate programs. The selected candidate will also
assist in the provision of pedagogical training of our graduate teaching
assistants.
We seek candidates with a strong commitment to teaching and research. If
