The world of language mediation is changing. We all face new
challenges but also exciting opportunities. For this reason,
SummerTrans IX offers a broad variety of courses on new developments
relating to theory and practice in translation, interpreting and
terminology. All course teachers have extensive teaching and research
experience on current topics and come from different European
universities and institutions. Courses are held in English or German.
The summer school is designed for professionals in the fields of
translation, interpreting or terminology working in public
institutions, private organisations or as freelancers. It is equally
aimed at students as well as teachers and researchers in these fields.
There is also a IATI Young Researcher Award for PhD students.
The 9th edition of SummerTrans is organised by the Institute of
Applied Linguistics of Eurac Research (Italy) and by the Department of
Translation Studies at the University of Innsbruck (Austria) under the
auspices of the International Academy for Translation and Interpreting
IATI, with the support of various sponsors.
