Call for Papers:

Call for contributions.

Babel is a popular magazine that covers languages and linguistics. We
cover the latest linguistic research in a way that is accessible and
interesting for non-specialist readers. New issues are published
quarterly, in print and digital formats.

We are seeking contributions for our upcoming 2024 and 2025 issues. We
publish articles on all linguistic disciplines and topics. Articles
are between 1,500 to 3,500 words in length.

We are also seeking contributions for our regular features: Ask a
Linguist (answers to tricky linguistic queries), Languages of the
World, Linguistic Horizons (an interview with an early-career
researcher), Screentest (linguistic film reviews), Lives in Language
(profiles of important linguists), and Meet the Professionals
(interviews with people who use linguistics in their careers).
