Lecturer in Korean Language Position
The School of Humanities at NTU invites applications for a Lecturer
position in Korean Language within the Centre for Modern Languages. We
seek candidates with a strong track record in teaching introductory to
advanced Korean to tertiary students, curriculum design, multimedia
course material development, and familiarity with current trends in
second/foreign language instruction. Additionally, candidates with a
degree in Korean Studies and experience in teaching the cultural and
societal aspects of Korea will be highly valued.
The Centre for Modern Languages (CML) offers 15 Asian and European
languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese,
Korean, Malay, Russian, Singapore Sign Language, Spanish, Tamil, Thai,
and Vietnamese). The Centre emphasizes enhancing learners'
intercultural knowledge and linguistic competence. For further

Requirements
• Postgraduate qualification in Korean studies or Teaching Korean
as a foreign language.
• Proficient in Korean language, both written and spoken, at a
native level.
• Experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching Korean
preferably at tertiary level.
• Experience in developing Korean language curriculum and
materials, including e-learning materials.
• Ability to coordinate large courses.
• Proficient in English to communicate with non-Korean students.
Emoluments
Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and
experience.
